Morning everyone!  Hope your Saturday morning is off to a great start, and . . .

Wait a minute – it’s Sunday already?  When the heck did THAT happen?  These darn weekends go by too fast; this country needs to go to the three-day

weekend model, in my humble (but absolutely correct) opinion.

Ah well – at least the links showed up today to take our mind off of our troubles!  Tally ho!

The Buffalo Sabres are not the only team that has yet to announce who its captain will be on opening day, but they may wind up being exactly that if they wait much longer.  The New York Islanders are set to announce their captain tomorrow. [TSN]   Which begs the question, if we already know who the team has selected, why not just announce it today?

Another area in which the Sabres have some company?  The RFA game, a game that RFAs such as Cody Hodgson don’t realize they are losing.  [Sports Illustrated]

If you’re like me – and there are some good psychiatrists I know if you are – you sometimes find yourself looking up at the scoreboard and saying, “I sure would not want to be under that if it fell.”  Well keep that thought in mind as you check out the new scoreboard in Colorado’s Pepsi Center.  [Puck Daddy]

I like lists!  So here’s one of the most overrated players in the upcoming NHL 14 video game. [Bleacher Report]  Someone had a bit too much free time on his hands . . . .

And why not keep the list thing going with a REAL list – this time, the most likely dynasties in the NHL. [Bleacher Report]

Today is the home opener of the Buffalo Bills, so here are five things to watch in the Bills-Patriots match-up. [WGR 550]

And last, but never least – the Sabres’ prospects face the prospects of the Carolina Hurricanes today for a chance to play in the championship game in the 2013 NHL Prospect Tournament today.  Coverage begins at 3:30 and you can listen live at Sabres.com.    Go Sabres, and enjoy your Sunday!
