Just one more day until the Buffalo Sabres open training camp, yes you read that correctly just one day until Sabres open training camp. Finally a long summer is coming to an end. As you know we’re running a trivia challenge right through to the Buffalo Sabres first game on October 2nd and today is the 5th installment of our Buffalo Sabres Trivia Challenge. Hopefully you’re enjoying a walk down Buffalo Sabres history lane.

Here’s the answer from yesterday’s tricky question;

Q- Throwing it back to the first inaugural season- What place did the Buffalo Sabres finish in their inaugural 1970-71 season?

A- The Buffalo Sabres finished in 5th place in their division ahead of Detroit and Vancouver but did not qualify for the playoffs.

Today’s question

Q- Who scored the very first goal in the history of the Buffalo Sabres?

Remember you have until midnight on Tuesday September 10th to submit your answer to one of three places. Tweet it to @Hockeylife30, post it as a comment to this article below or on the SabreNoise Facebook page.

Best of luck.
