So far so good for the Buffalo Sabres in the 2013-2014 pre season schedule. Buffalo has had a hold one for a win type victory against the Montreal Canadiens, and a nice victory over the Columbus Blue Jackets.
Tonight the Buffalo Sabres will open up the home portion of their pre season schedule against the Carolina Hurricanes. The Buffalo Sabres would like to offer this traffic report for fans heading to First Niagara Center tonight – as it will be the first hockey game at the arena while construction on the HarborCenter is going on.
Vehicular traffic is reduced to one lane on Washington Street (Northbound away from arena) and one late on Main Street (Southbound towards arena). There are no road closures currently planned during arena events.
Fans should plan on using Michigan Avenue instead of Washington Street. The team is strongly suggested that fans plan ahead and leave extra time for traveling to and from the arena.
The Buffalo Police Department Traffic Division will control the traffic at all intersections affected and will direct traffic accordingly.
