Buffalo Sabres Trivia Challenge #18

There are just 8 more days until the Buffalo Sabres kick-off their 2013-2014 NHL regular season and if preseason can be used as a measuring stick, the Sabres may not be so bad. Welcome back to another edition of Buffalo Sabres Trivia, yesterday was a big day as 6 points were up for grabs and a few of you took advantage.

Here’s the answer’s to both of yesterdays Sabres Trivia questions.

Q- What was Encil “Porky” Palmer famous for?

A- Encil Porky Palmer was famous for standing by the Zamboni doors at the old Aud and kicking the door so pucks would bounce into the slot for Sabres players.

Q- Who was involved in the very first Buffalo Sabres fight in 1970?

A- The first player to drop the mitts for the Buffalo Sabres was Brian McDonald on October 10th 1970 in a game against the Pittsburgh Penguins. McDonald took on Bryan Hextall.

It’s been awhile since the Sabres have seen playoff success, so let’s go forward talking about the playoffs in today’s Sabres trivia.

Q- Who scored the OT winner in-game 4 of the semi-finals in the 1993 playoffs, inspiring a famous Rick Jeanneret call.

As always you can submit your answer to one of two places. You can post it as a comment below or can tweet your answer to @Hockeylife30. Best of luck!
