This season marks the 32nd season that the Buffalo Sabres and the Rochester Americans will be affiliated, and will feature several unique games, including an outdoor matchup against the Lake Erie Monsters and a trip to Switzerland!

The Rochester Americans will play a 76-game schedule that will see the team face 16 other American Hockey League teams. This means that the Americans won’t face 13 teams at all this season, including nine Eastern Conference teams – so if they were to make it to the Calder Cup, there’s a good chance they’d be competing against a team they didn’t see at all during the regular season.
