Girgensons will out-score Grigorenko

Zemgus Girgensons came into camp playing like he had something to prove and as a result he earned a spot on the Buffalo Sabres. His fellow 2012 draftee, didn’t come into camp with that same fire after already being guaranteed a spot. But when Rolston put Girgensons

and Grigorenko together the two sparked.

Both young players will want to prove their worth and will feed off each other if they’re kept on the same line. There’s just something about the fire Girgensons has been playing with; He’s willing to do the dirty work and really help the team win, I see him being put in more situations to succeed then Grigorenko. I don’t see the same passion in Grigorenko, but when the puck drops on the season he could become a completely different player.

They are indeed… I didn’t want to go boring. Go big or go home right?

I love you enthusiasm on our “Rookies” all 6 having 15+ goals I wish it were true but unless Buffalo is willing or ‘ABLE’ to unload a few players like Stafford/Porter/McCormick/Scott/Kaleta, they will not be all able to play.. Of those five keep Kaleta & McCormick for 4th line grit & pen-killing (keep Porter for up/down Roch. injury need) Play Scott only against Bos/Tor ‘Nothing else’ & unload Stafford (even if we pay 2M of his contract) & they just might get enough games in for 5/6 of them to hit 15+ goals. …Thanks Caitlin for seeing positives & not being always so down on Buffalo It’s a nice change. Thx

Thank you, I like to remain cautiously hopefuly/optimistic with the Sabres. I know they’re going to be slightly better than people expect but I don’t think they can break the playoff barrier.
It’s going to be tough to get a lot of them enough games to score 15 goals for sure, but I thought I’d give them the benefit of the doubt.

Vanek did indeed get a C, but one with a loop hole in it I suppose so you get half points for that.
I can definitely see Girgensons putting away more G’s, but I think if they play together Grigorenko will top him for points.
Miller has Olympics on his mind so I’m expecting good things from him. Whether he signs or not will be interesting and might just hinge on what Vanek does.
I haven’t seen any preseason games themselves but when I can hear people talk about stuff that isn’t how bad Myers sucks then he must be playing ok.
15 EACH from the young’uns? I hope so.

Yeah I was half right abut Vanek, I want credit for that haha.
I just can’t wait to see Girgs and Grigo play together and hopefully Rolston allows them to grow together.
The last one was a bit of a “hopeful” predicition. I want the young’uns to perform well so I’d be satisfied with 15 each.

Need roster spots? Look no further then Leino and Stafford. Scott will sit most games in the pressbox, hes a non-issue with the roster. He might see all of 20 games.
