I have to say it sure seems like Jhonas Enroth has taken the next step in his development and may be ready to become a starter for the Sabres. Ever since Ron Rolston came to town, Enroth became a different netminder and he’s finally starting to flourish. Tonight he stood tall all night and made many key saves. I thought the first goal he let in was a little weak, but he rebounded nicely and backstopped the Sabres to their first lead of the season and eventually their first point.
Enroth can’t be blamed for the OT winning goal as both Cody Hodgson and Tyler Myers stood right in front of him and provided the perfect screen. Enroth finished with 31 saves on the night and may have earned himself another start on Thursday.
