If you’re reading this by now I’m sure you’ve figured out I’m a supporter of Ryan Miller, but I think it’s fair to say his play explains why he’s the first start from last weeks action. He played in two of three games and although he lost both games, it sure as heck wasn’t his fault. He stood on his head in both games, but unfortunately he can’t score and his teammates let him down. On Friday he battled Craig Anderson save for save all night long as two of the best American netminders went at it. It’s only been two games but it certainly looks like the Miller of old is back.
He’s faced more shots (80) than any other netminder who’s played in 2 games and has a stellar 1.53 GAA which ranks him 6th amongst goaltenders who have suited up for two games. He also posted a rather nice .963 Save Percentage in his two outings.
The Sabres may be 0-3 but they certainly can’t blame their goaltender for that, he’s done his job.
