Afternoon, Buffalo Sabres fans!

It’s game day, which means it is time to hear what you have to say about tonight’s match-up between the boys in blue and gold and the defending Stanley cup-champions, the Chicago Blackhawks.

Yep.  The winless Sabres are hoping to travel to Chi-town and pick up their first win of the season.  Right now, even a loss in OT will be a moral victory for this team, who need to see something resembling a positive result for their efforts, or else this season could quickly spiral out of control.

Tensions already seem to be running high in the Sabres’ locker room, if blueliner Mike Weber‘s comments following the Sabres 4-1 blowout loss at home to Columbus is any indication:

“I’m tired of hearing it’s a young team, I’m really tired of hearing it.  There’s no excuses in here. All these guys have played now five games in this League. We need to find a way. We’re going to make mistakes. But we need to make plays. We need to generate something. We need to get something going.”

He’s right of course, and he should know – he watched one puck bounce off of his skate for a goal on Thursday, while another goal was a direct result of his decision to skate right into goaltender Ryan Miller, leaving the net wide open for Marian Gaborik.  The list of players who need to stop making mistakes and start making plays is about ten feet long right now.  Can they take the first step toward turning things around tonight in the Windy City?

Questions to consider (remember, you can leave ANY prediction you want in the comments!):

1. Will Tyler Myers or Mike Weber record a positive +/- tonight?

2. Can any of the Sabres’ rookies net their first goal of the season tonight?

3. Will the Sabres get at least one point tonight?

Join the conversation and let me know what you think!!!
