The Buffalo Sabres fall to the Minnesota Wild and the trip down the rabbit hole continues to get worse.  The buzzword of suffering doesn’t even pale compared to what fans

are going through as they continue to watch a rookie coach do a constant hustle shuffle with his lines in game, and the outcome is always the same.  There is no chemistry building for this young Buffalo Sabres team.  Here are your daily links for the Buffalo Sabres and the National Hockey League from around the internet.

You know it was going to happen, and after last nights game someone had to write it, but let the rumors about the Minnesota Wild enticing Thomas Vanek back to Minnesota resume.  Will the Wild trade even more of their future away to get Vanek if they think they have a legitimate shot at a Stanley Cup run this year – or will they wait until free agency?  They may not have a lot of competition on July 1.  [USA Today Sports].

With last nights loss the Buffalo Sabres tie the club record for winless start to a regular season.  They did it in 1999-2000 and 1990-1991.  Can they beat those records tonight against the New York Islanders to set the record – or will tonight be the night they life the monkey off their back? [Buffalo News].

You have probably seen it by now, but the end to end passing clinic by Jason Pominville resulted in the game winning goal last night.  [SB Nation].

Thomas Vanek doesn’t want to be around for a long rebuilding process, and Ryan Miller was hoping last year was his final swan song in Buffalo.  How much longer do the two remain in Buffalo with no hope of winning in sight? [Rant Sports].

Rasmus Ristolainen was supposed to be NHL ready – now there is talk that he could be finding his way to the minor leagues after being benched for the game against Minnesota.  Earlier this month people were wondering if he was Calder Memorial Trophy potential.  [The Hockey Writers].

Former Buffalo Sabres goalie Martin Biron is played on waivers – and hat could be signaling the end of his NHL career.  [Daily News].
