Friends!  Countrymen!  Sabre Noise readers!  Buffalo Sabres fans, and fans of NHL hockey around the world!  Lend me your, uh, eyes!

(Take THAT, Shakespeare!!)

Now that the Buffalo Sabres have officially been eliminated from the playoff chase (shh! Don’t argue!) we fans can just sit back and watch the young players learn how to play NHL hockey without all that pressure of “winning” being placed upon their shoulders.  All kidding aside, this really is the philosophy the Buffalo Sabres coaching staff should have anyway, which means (ahem) . . . STOP MAKING ROOKIES HEALTHY SCRATCHES!

Let the kids play – this season is obviously a trial run for next year, right?  Don’t make me drive over there, Darcy!

Okay – with that out of my system, it’s time for the links!

Are you caught up from last night’s NHL action?  Why not?  Go here, now!  [TSN]

I’m sure you already knew this, but Patrick Kaleta has cleared waivers and will now report to the Rochester Americans. [Sabres.com] I will have more to see about this, hopefully later today.

Plenty of NHL squads have looked sluggish so far this season.  Which ones have the best chances of bouncing back?  [Bleacher Report]  Not Buffalo, that’s for sure!

Need help with your NHL fantasy team?  Check out ESPN’s week 6 forecast!  I have a team – haven’t changed the roster since day one, and don’t even know how many games I have won or lost!  Takes way too much time.

With little to gain from holding onto a player like Ryan Miller, this writer feels it is time to trade #30.  [Hockey Buzz]  Agree?

Finally: figured I would give Cornell Hockey a shout-out, since I live less than 30 minutes away from Lyna Rink! [The Hockey News]

Be good, everyone!!!
