First of all Ron Rolston disappointed a lot of people by not putting Ryan Miller between the pipes to square off against Jonathan Quick

in an epic Team USA Olympic showdown and that was a mistake, although Jhonas Enroth played extremely well, I think everyone wanted to see a Miller vs. Quick match-up.

The offence the Sabres found against the Sharks dried up against the Kings as they were shutout and only managed 19 shots, giving Quick his 26th career shutout. The Kings capitalized on two power plays but other than those 2 power play goals against the Buffalo Sabres were able to play the Kings hard and skate with them. Tyler Myers was rung up for 11 penalty minutes which Rolston said was “too many” and ultimately time in the box against the 8th best power play team cost the Sabres.

While the Sabres were shutout fans were still excited about their strong play on the Western road trip, but then came the final game.
