The Buffalo Sabres (3-15-1) skate against the Los Angeles Kings (11-6-0) tonight at 7PM as the Buffalo Sabres wrapup their early season run against teams from California.
Buffalo is still looking for its first win of the season at home – and the Los Angeles Kings are looking to extend their current two game winning streak and avoid falling to .500 on the road as we are close to marking the quarter point of the season. Buffalo is nearing the NHL record for worst start at home. the 1983-1984 Pittsburgh Penguins started the regular season winless in their first ten at home before securing a win.
If they are to be successful tonight – the Sabres are going to have to evolve their game and stay away from the penalty box – which was their biggest downfall the last time they played the Kings.
The Buffalo Sabres will warm up wearing special jerseys on honor of Veteran’s Day.

Thinks with the LA Kings could get interesting if the Sabres are looking for revenge against Matt Frattin – as John Scott is eligible to return to the lineup. Buffalo’s defense also gets Christian Ehrhoff back as he sat out the Sabres last game due to a lower body injury.
This will close out the season series for the two teams – and starts the Los Angeles Kings out on a four game road trip through the state of New York and the metropolitan area, as the Kings will look to gain ground in the tight Pacific division as they try to secure points against the Buffalo Sabres, New York Islanders, New York Rangers, and New Jersey Devils. Despite a solid 11-6 record – its only good for fifth place in the Pacific Division.
Buffalo remains the only team in the league without a home win – and are off to a franchise worse start since joining the league in 1970.
