Raise your hand if the past week for the Buffalo Sabres was the best week for you as a fan in the last 16 years. Not just because they went 2-1, but because Darcy Regier is finally out of Buffalo! To top it off Regier took Ron Rolston with him as the Buffalo Sabres cleaned house. Yeah I think it was a good week for fans of the Buffalo Sabres.

Agree with everything. I don’t even have the slightest of clues why Tallinder is still playing good minutes? Zadorov and Myers make a better combo than Myers and Tallinder.

Myers has been so much better lately hey? He should be on the first PP instead of Ehrhoff IMO. Ehrhoff’s shots never hit the net anymore, I don’t know if anyone else has noticed that…

Another couple things is that Grigorenko and Zadorov should be sent down to there minor league teams if they aren’t going to be utilized properly. And Larsson at this point will see better minutes in the AHL. I understand if it were a player like Kaleta riding the bench but a players this young shouldn’t be riding the bench on a game to game basis. They should be out there learning. If not send them somewhere where they can learn.

I think the lineup for the last two games indicates that Ted Nolan views Grigo, Zadorov and Larsson as minor league-rs who need to earn their was into the NHL. I don’t think he subscribers to the on-the-job training philosophy of his predecessors. Nolan wants to win games; not play nursemaid.

      • Caitlin Campbell

That’s a good point- make the rookies earn their ice time

      • Jes

Nolan knows he’s been brought into a rebuilding franchise not brought into win. He’s brought in to teach the young guys how to COMPETE at the NHL level. I believe winning comes second to Nolan. The performance level wasn’t there at all. Darcy and Rolston didn’t get fired because of the lack of wins we had they got let go because the uninspired hockey they had the club playing for the last two months. Pegula knew it was going to be a bottom of the barrel season.

        • davidmuscalo

You’re living in a fools paradise if you think Nolan main object is train raw rookies and not win games. Did you see his reaction to the that stupid penalty that Leino took near the end of the third period Saturday night? Leino isn’t even a rookie.

Regardless, we will soon know how he going to approach mentoring the youth on this team.

          • Jes

Lol if I’m living in a fools paradise you must be the queen of fools paradise.

Listen to the news conference when Lafontaine and Nolan were introduced. Pegula basically said he didn’t like the competitiveness of the team. Basically said it wasn’t the wins that got Darcy and Rolston canned. It was the level of competitiveness that got them fired. Then Patty goes on to say that’s why we got Nolan later in the presser. Winning obviously is always a goal, but at this point I don’t see it as Nolan’s main goal.

PS – Next time let’s not go back and forth dissing one another and simply just disagree with the other. Thanks.

    • Caitlin Campbell

I don’t really see how Tallinder is on the team either. Zadorov has been better TBH but he still needs to be sent back to junior.
I have really liked Myers game as of late for sure.
Exactly send them where they can learn if you wont play them

I have never wavered in my support for Miller, and I believe Ted Nolan shares my desire to get him signed before the end of the season.

    • Jes

That’d be the worst decision possible.

      • Joe Mazurkiewicz

        Quit nipping on Darcy’s koolaid!!!!!!!!

        • Jes

How is not thinking Miller will be resigning nipping on Darcy’s Koolaid? What are the signs that Miller is going to resign?

Miller’s Pro’s for staying – Great fans and higher than normal salary. Cons for staying well we won’t be a Stanley Cup contender for I don’t know how long so ya let’s just not visit that. Far away from his wife which he already hates. Dedicating himself to a rebuilding franchise when he’s like what 33-34 years of age? Yup not gonna happen. Only way we resign him is if we give him like $7 Million a year.

Miller’s Pro’s for leaving – Stanley Cup, Playoffs, Closer to his wife, better all around play in front of him. Only con is that he probably won’t make as much if he were to sign with another team especially someone like the Ducks o Blues.

Add the fact that the guy already sold his house.

All signs point to he is leaving….

Maybe you should stop nipping on that retard koolaid you mother’s been feeding you since the day of your birth. Next time read the actual post before you reply.

          • Joe Mazurkiewicz

opinions are like AHoles, everybody has one,BUT I guess your AHole spurts opinions like beer farts!!!!!!!!!!!

          • Jes

Lol ya seems like your “A-Hole’s” been worn out but Mr. Regier himself. Your the one you started this shit. Don’t go crying to mommy because you know I’m right. I could hear her now “It’s alright sweetheart the boogeyman isn’t real. And for god sakes Joe I told you your a 40 year old man now use the toilet from now on. You know we can’t afford the big boy diapers….. Geesh some kids never grow up”.

  • davidmuscalo

I think Nolan used Enroth to get a first-hand evaluation of his skills under fire. It was not a good outing for Enroth; he has played better in the past. He could have kept the Sabres in the game with a couple of big saves, but he fell short and Nolan will not forget it. I think Nolan will use him less and less as the season progresses. Remember, Nolan’s job is at stake, and he is going to go with the players who make look good – Enroth is not likely to be one of those players.

    • Caitlin Campbell

yeah it was not a strong showing by Enroth and Nolan may start to roll Miller more

    • Jes

Enroth is the future #1 goalie. Nolan knows that, and that’s why he got the start. Otherwise he would’ve just ran with the hot hand. Our defense didn’t play as well as they should’ve in last nights game in Toronto. This is like the first actual bad game of the year for Enroth. He’s been beyond solid even more so than Miller throughout the year. Only reason he hasn’t taken over #1 goalie duties is because Miller’s trade bait and it simply wouldn’t look good to “buyers” if he was sitting on the bench. And yes Enroth will keep getting backup starts, until he takes over next year.
