Dear Sabre Noise readers – have you seen my wife?

She disappeared last night about an hour after we had finished our Thanksgiving Day feast, and she hasn’t been seen since.  I think I may have heard her enter the house sometime in the wee hours of this morning, but I was half asleep and she wasn’t in bed when I awoke.

It’s okay – I’m not alarmed.  This sort of thing happens every Black Friday now.  Chances are, she’ll return when she either needs sleep, or runs out of money.  Hopefully, none of you are trying to fight the crowds on the busiest shopping day of the year and are seated comfortably, ready for the day’s links!

With 25% of the regular season in the books for the NHL, it’s time to assess who the early front-runners for this year’s Calder Trophy are.  [Bleacher Report]

And what about the NHL’s top 50 players – bet you were wondering who they were, weren’t you?  [b/r]  Not a Sabres player on that list.  Sorry, but Miller ought to be, and that’s just one of the problems I have with this list.

I’m sure you have heard about the lawsuit some ex-players have raised against the NHL.  Read this in order to get a detailed breakdown of what the suit alleges.  [Sports Illustrated]

Shopping doesn’t just occur in malls and plazas, you know!  It occurs in the NHL, too, and there are an awful lot of teams looking to become buys or sellers really soon.  [Hockey Buzz]

Following the last meeting between the Sabres and Leafs, I almost started an international incident.  Who knows – I may do that again tonight!  In the meantime, our friends to the north can fume over this mishandling of “O Canada.” [Puck Daddy]

I love trade rumors!  Here’s the latest on the Montreal Canadiens.  [The Hockey News]

Finally, here’s your Sabres-specific link, which explains how the Buffalo Sabres organization is hoping that history repeats itself when it comes to the team’s current rebuild.

Stay safe, and come back later today for all of our Leafs-Sabres game coverage!

Who is sitting out tonight when Dagostini is in and perhaps Flynn is out since he lost his fight with Barbie of the Leafs? Is Sulzer out and Weber in? Will Scott fight Princess Phaneuf of the Leafs? Leafs win 2-1 with the Leafs only getting two shots on net and only on the PP and Buffalo will get one shot and on the PP. This will be a Black Friday game.
