All right, Sabres fans.
Buffalo has enjoyed a nice little break from the action, so now it’s time for the team to show the NHL what it spent the past four days doing. Truth be told, the team has been skating hard and keeping games close lately, but it would be great to see the Sabres stop compiling moral victories and start accumulating, you know, ACTUAL victories.
All of which leads me to tonight’s contest featuring the New York Rangers. The Blueshirts have not been exactly lighting the world of professional hockey on fire, having fallen back to .500 after a 5-2 loss to the Winnipeg Jets Monday evening.
Of course, the Rangers have Henrik Lundqvist, and he’s pretty good – perhaps you’ve heard of him? It will take a monumental effort for a team that has been outscored by 37 goals so far this season to put one, much less two or more, past him, so let’s hope interim coach Ted Nolan taught his team some new tricks this week.
Questions to consider, if you like:
1. The Sabres have scored 3 first period goals in the eight games since Ted Nolan took over. That’s not great – but that’s as many as they scored in Ron Rolston’s 20 games this year. Will the Sabres score first tonight, in the first?
2. WHEN WILL VILLE LEINO SCORE A GOAL?????
3. Final score?
Let’s go Buffalo, and let’s get it going down below!!! Join the conversation, and keep checking back in throughout the day and the game!!!
