Sabres – Rangers: Fan Chatter!

All right, Sabres fans.

Buffalo has enjoyed a nice little break from the action, so now it’s time for the team to show the NHL what it spent the past four days doing.  Truth be told, the team has been skating hard and keeping games close lately, but it would be great to see the Sabres stop compiling moral victories and start accumulating, you know, ACTUAL victories.

All of which leads me to tonight’s contest featuring the New York Rangers.  The Blueshirts have not been exactly lighting the world of professional hockey on fire, having fallen back to .500 after a 5-2 loss to the Winnipeg Jets Monday evening.

Of course, the Rangers have Henrik Lundqvist, and he’s pretty good – perhaps you’ve heard of him?  It will take a monumental effort for a team that has been outscored by 37 goals so far this season to put one, much less two or more, past him, so let’s hope interim coach Ted Nolan taught his team some new tricks this week.

Questions to consider, if you like:

1. The Sabres have scored 3 first period goals in the eight games since Ted Nolan took over.  That’s not great – but that’s as many as they scored in Ron Rolston’s 20 games this year.   Will the Sabres score first tonight, in the first?

3. Final score?

Let’s go Buffalo, and let’s get it going down below!!!  Join the conversation, and keep checking back in throughout the day and the game!!!

I dare not mention the dreaded s-word (shutout – whoops!) lest Jes turn his wrath on me, so I’ll give the Rangers one goal in a 2-1 win by the Sabres. This game will end in regulation – seriously! Stafford and Ennis with the goals.

Lol Rich your allowed to predict those shutouts.

Sabres have a goal outburst, win it 3-2

        • JHizzle75

You were wise not to predict a shut-out. Lol . 2-1 is still in play!

Too bad I’m not feeling as good about it!!!!

    Sabres win 5-1

    1. I do not think they will score first tonight.
    2. Tonight Leino gets his long awaited goal.
    3. Sabres win 5-1

Sabres win 3-1 Adam pots one and Miler out battles Lundqvist

    • Travis Hoh

3-1, but Miller scores on an empty net as time expires. Boom

  • JHizzle75

I will say 4-2 Buffalo. I worked through my lunch break today so I could be home in time to see the puck drop and not miss half of the first period as I usually do with the 5:00 starts. So they better win!
Goals by Adam ( I picked up Mary Browns chicken on my way home-he’s a Newfie ) Hodgson, Stafford and Leino first goal will be an empty netter

    • JHizzle75

      Sorry Leino’s first goal

      • http://SabreNoise.com/ Richard Spalding

At this point Leino will take whatever he can get!
