Okay, Sabres fans!
It’s time for round three. The Buffalo Sabres and Ottawa Senators have played two games so far this season, and each game has been an exciting contest decided by one goal. Tuesday night, Senators and Sabres fans alike were treated to a game that was just too exciting for regulation and even overtime to contain. Hell, even the shoot-out had to go overtime before the game was decided! And decided it was, by the young and exciting Zemgus Girgensons, who not only tied the game at 1-all but scored the game winner in the shootout.
I think there’s a future in the NHL awaiting that boy.
Hopefully, tonight’s game in Ottawa proves to be just as entertaining, and perhaps just as satisfying for us poor ol’ Sabres fans. Here are a few questions to consider before you weigh in:
1. The Sabres have not had a player score goals in three consecutive games yet this season. Can Girgensons get the hat trick tonight?
2. How about Ville Leino: will his return from being benched spark him to get his first goal of the season?
3. Final score – more than a one-goal difference? Chatter chatter chatter: let’s get it going!
