The Buffalo Sabres have played 5 games so far in the month of December, and unfortunately have only earned 3 points in the standings out of a possible 10. With one win over the Senators, which occurred in a shootout, and an OT loss to the Flames this past Saturday, the Sabres still sit in last place in the league with a whopping 17 points.

Up next on the schedule is Winnipeg – the Jets, currently with 33 points, almost have double the points as the Sabres (in one less game played). The Jets will be playing back-to-back games as they take on the Columbus Blue Jackets tonight in Columbus. The Sabres can only hope that the Jets come into Buffalo as a tired team.
