fast goal, scored just ten seconds in the start of the game against the St. Louis Blues.

Tyler Ennis put the Sabres up 1-0 just ten seconds into the game on November 19th.  Buffalo couldn’t hold off the Blues however and fell 4-1.  In 1978 however, Danny Gare put on in the back of the net just seven seconds after opening faceoff on December 17th.  It was just the first of six goals the Sabres would score against the Vancouver Canucks in a six to three victory.

Just five years later, Adam Creighton made his NHL debut on December 17th.  Creighton went on to have an illustrious career in the NHL, appearing in 708 career games and scoring 187 goals, and 216 assists with the Sabres, Chicago Blackhawks, New York Islanders, Tampa Bay Lightning, and St. Louis Blues.  He would get his first point on this day in 1983, an assist on the game winning goal for the Sabres as they defeated the Whalers in Hartford 4-1.

The Sabre skate into tonight’s contest looking for their first win against the Jets since 2011, which coincided with the Jets first game against Buffalo since moving from Atlanta.  The last six games have between these two clubs, the Sabres could only muster one goal in each game.
