Ville Leino Support Thread: Day 7

All right, Ville!

Sorry: Mr. Leino.  I must apologize; I’m a bit amped up today.   Call it a gut feeling, call it indigestion from the sandwich I had this afternoon – whatever you want to call it, I believe tonight is the night you find the back of the net, Mr. Leino.

That’s right: tonight, you will take your first step toward making “Ville Leino” a household name!  Or at least, a name with a number “1” in the goal column next to it.

You were right on Heaven’s Door the other afternoon, as your goal against the Calgary Flames was waved off because the net had been dislodged just a second before.  Conspiracy, anyone?  Well, they can’t keep a good man down forever, and mark my words: tonight is YOUR night.

Even though the Sabres are probably going to lose.  Badly.

So if I feel that Buffalo is going to lose tonight, what makes me so certain that you will experience the breakthrough you have been waiting 20 games for?  Why, your career stats against the Jets!  So far, you have scored 3 goals and managed 5 points total against the Jets in just ten career meetings with Winnipeg – a career average of .5 points per game, and more importantly, YOU HAVE SCORED GOALS AGAINST THIS TEAM!!!

It’s like Christmas, only on December 17th.

Okay: I see you’re anxious to get headed to the arena, so I’ll let you go.  Try and relax – don’t press, just keep doing what you’ve been doing.  I think you’re going to like the results!

Good luck, Vil – I mean, Mr. Leino!!!
