Sabres - Leafs: Fan Chatter

Sabres fans, I regret to tell you that I lost a niece over the Christmas holiday.

You see, I went back home on Christmas eve to visit my family (Christmas day was reserved for my wife’s side of the family).  When my sister and her family arrived, I was excited to see my two young nieces . . . until the oldest of the two pulled out a fleece Toronto Maple Leafs blanket that she had brought to the house just for the occasion.

I haven’t talked to her since, and I consider her dead to me.

Okay – I might be kidding (a little bit, at least), but suffice it to say, I don’t like the Leafs.  Last year, I didn’t mind them, but because of their chippy play and obnoxious, troll-like fans who jumped me a few weeks back, I really dislike this team.  So much so that I want them to lose tonight.  No – not lose.  I want this team to skate off the ice tonight humiliated, having lost in the most embarrassing fashion.  A blow-out, maybe.  A butt goal.

No – an own goal.

How great would that be, to see “Princess” Dion Phaneuf score the game-winning goal for the Buffalo Sabres tonight by putting the puck in his own net?

Yes, please!

Childish of me, I know – and yet, I’m okay with this fantasy.

All right – let’s get to the good stuff.

Questions to consider:

1. Can Matt Moulson get off of the schneid tonight?  He has scored goals in his last nine against the Leafs.

2. What are the odds Ville Leino scores tonight?  (Check out my support thread for him in a little bit!)

3. Final score?

Pump up the volume, and make your picks bold and interesting!
