Morning, and a good Sunday to all you connoisseurs of NHL hockey!
It was an interesting weekend in my personal hockey world. My oldest son took nine shots and played his butt off in a game on Saturday, but couldn’t find the back of the net, even though he led his team in SOG. He spend last night shooting at a target in our driveway, and wound up with 1 goal on four shots, 2 assists, and a+4 rating today. Hopefully, he learned that hard work pays off.
Why do I share this story? Because it’s a lesson that pertains to us Sabres fans. Even in a season like this, we need to appreciate the hard work that players like Zemgus Girgensons and Tyler Ennis are putting in every night, because it’s only going to help the Sabres organization build that winning team we all want to see. I like what I have seen from the players ever since Ted Nolan took the bench, and I hope the players understand that even if it doesn’t translate into a lot of wins this season, it will pay off down the road.
Now that I have dispensed that little nugget of wisdom, onto the links!
