Better late than never – the Buffalo Sabres are winning games at home finally! The last four home crowds at the First Niagara Center have all seen wins! The Sabres have beat Winnipeg, Boston, Phoenix and now Washington on home ice. With an away win in Winnipeg, Buffalo could head into 2014 playing pretty decent hockey – at least much better than that of the start of the season.

Ryan Miller was named the second star of the week by NHL.com. Even with all the losses and the team being in last place, Miller has been playing solid this season and deserves some recognition. Unfortunately I still think he could be on the trading block come deadline day. [NHL.com]
