Sabres - Jets: Fan Chatter, New Year's Eve Style!

Happy New Year’s eve, everyone!

Let me start by saying that I had a great year writing for Sabre Noise.  If 2014 is anything like 2013, I’m going to love logging into the site every day.  It has been tremendous fun getting to know so many Buffalo Sabres fans through the comments and Tweets I get because of my writing, and I am always trying to find better ways to keep you all informed and entertained. You guys and gals are an intelligent, passionate bunch, and it’s my pleasure to bring you news and my opinions on all things Sabres!

Cripes, it’s starting to feel like an estrogen festival up in here!  Knock that crap off, Rich, and get to the hockey!

The last time the Sabres played the Jets, they left the ice with a 4-2 victory, one of the few times this year Buffalo has won by more than a single freaking goal.  As we all know, the Sabres are playing much better under the guidance of Ted Nolan, going 7-9-3 since he took over as interim coach.  Of course, the Sabres still rely way too much on their scintillating goalie tandem of Ryan Miller and Jhonas Enroth to save their butts – but hey!  As long as the goalies are playing hot, let’s enjoy it!

Buffalo is 13-9-5 in New Year’s Eve contests, by the way.  Just thought you should know!

Questions to consider:

1. Matt Moulson leads all Sabres in scoring against the Jets, with 18 points (11-7) lifetime against them, and 8 points (5-3) in his last seven games against the Jets.  How many points does he get tonight?

2. If Ville Leino doesn’t score tonight, I will slow dance to Auld Lang Syne, by myself, in my bay window, wearing nothing but my boxers.  Pick which of these happens tonight.  No, I will not post photos or videos to the website!!!

3. Final score, and predict my three stars!

I’ll be handling the knee jerk reactions and the three stars, so leave your comments  down below all night long,  or throw them to me on Twitter @theamazingMrS.  I’ll be checking the site and Twitter throughout my game as I enjoy some Sabres hockey with my oldest son.  Let’s get the chatter on down below, and go Sabres!
