McNabb, Larsson Recalled By Buffalo Sabres

The Buffalo Sabres announced today that they have recalled defenseman Brayden McNabb and forward Johan Larsson to the Sabres from the

Rochester Americans. The call went from the organization in Buffalo, to Davo, Switzerland where the Rochester Americans were preparing to depart from their tour of the Spengler Cup.  McNabb and Larsson will be routed from the rest of the team and join the Sabres for the game against Minnesota.

McNabb and Larsson will be joining the Sabres to fill in roster spots left void by injuries to Ville Leino and Henrik Tallinder.  Those injuries will keep them out of the lineup for some time.

The Amerks themselves are struggling to find players, no roster moves have been announced for them as they are travelling back from Europe.  The Rochester Amerks have to be hoping that Mike Zigomanis and Jamie Tardif are ready for action.  They did not make the trip to Europe because of injuries.

McNabb and Larsson are not on their first call up from the farm.  Larsson has played in eighteen games with the Sabres and scored one point in that time.  McNabb was held pointless in five contests he dressed as a Sabre.

The Buffalo Sabres take on the Minnesota Wild tomorrow in Minnesota.  Larsson was traded to the Buffalo Sabres from the Minnesota Wild last year at the trade deadline in return for Jason Pominville.
