Sabres - Panthers: Fan Chatter!

The Buffalo Sabres are set to actually play some hockey tonight, so I am super pumped up.  There’s nothing like having a game yanked away from you to make you say, “Hey – give me that back!”

Tonight’s battle is practically guaranteed to be either an entertaining match-up between two evenly-matched foes, or a terrible snooze-fest in which two cellar-dwelling teams fail to score and make you wish you were watching soccer.   I’m hoping for the former, but will have pillows at the ready in case it’s actually the latter!

The good news for the Sabres (aside from the fact that they FINALLY hired a GM, and a seemingly competent one at that) is that the team is riding a five-game home winning streak heading into this game.  In my podcast, I had predicted that the Carolina Hurricanes would end that streak, but I also picked Buffalo to beat the Panthers.  However, with Jhonas Enroth in goal, not Ryan Miller, and with Buffalo hit hard with injuries and the Tyler Myers suspension, can Buffalo stretch the streak to six?

I’m assigning point values tonight -let’s see who wins!  Get in, get talking , and keep me entertained tonight!

Questions to consider:

1. I’m setting the over/under number at four – will there be more than four total goals scored in the game tonight, or less?  (3 points)

2. Who scores first tonight?  Pick the team, and the player? (2 points for picking the team, 4 if you get the player)

3. Final score, and who wins?  (2 points for picking the winning team, 5 points to whoever is closest to the correct score)
