Hot dog hot dog hot diggity dog!

Ah, nuts – sorry about that, Sabre Noise fans!  I’ve got that ridiculous Mickey Mouse Clubhouse song stuck in my head this morning because it was playing on the Disney Jr. channel before I left for work.  It’s hard to tell which gets more screen time in my household: Buffalo Sabres games, or Disney shows and movies.  What with the catchy theme music to MSG’s coverage of Sabres games, and all the peppy songs I hear in my kids’ TV shows, it’s a party in my head!

But no, you’re not invited.

You are invited to enjoy today’s NHL – related links, however!  So I have that much for ya, at least.

Twenty-two teams battled last night.  Four escaped with overtime or shootout wins.  Get your scores and game recaps here.  [NHL.com]  I’ve abandoned TSN as my source for scores, since I don’t find their site to be set up very well.

I have not abandoned TSN entirely, though – I need my weekly dose of “C’Mon, Ref!”  [TSN]

In case you just woke up from a decades-long slumber, the 2014 Winter Olympics are right around the corner.  In anticipation of the event, here’s a look at the greatest Olympic performances.  [Bleacher Report]   EVER!

There’ been some talk lately about what it would take for a team to make a trade for Buffalo’s Matt Moulson.  Who are the other teams and players who could be involved in mid-season trades?  [TSN]

The Sabres are playing their way into a great draft pick, so who is the number one-ranked prospect for this year, anyway?  [Sports Illustrated]

Steven Stamkos on the Leafs?  Wayne Gretzky a GM?  Which of these is the more likely scenario?  [The Hockey News]

And your Buffalo Sabres link of the day: an early glimpse of what the Sabres’ 2014 draft might look like.  [b/r]

Enjoy the reads, folks!
