Another entertaining but tough loss last night.  Buffalo had a chance at some serious looks in the late stages of the game but just couldn’t get the job done with the man advantage.  Looks like another cold day in hockey heaven.  I have to say though – we have to have the best fans in the league, because, well – we keep coming back for more of these Buffalo Sabres – through the good, the bad, and the ugly.  And sometimes this year, these Sabres have been ugly.

Here are some morning links to peruse while drinking your coffee and trying to shake the ice from your bones.

If Ted Nolan has only been guaranteed to be around for this season – would taking the interim tag off his title make it harder to get rid of him after this season? [Rant Sports].

Is Ted Nolan the right coach for the Buffalo Sabres future, or even right now? [Sabres 101].

Who are the biggest goons in Buffalo Sabres history?  Here are six. [Rant Sports].

Is there no trade market for Ryan Miller because the suitors are not there, is the asking price too high – or are the Sabres trying to run this right to the end thinking they can convince him to stay? [Die By The Blade].

It’s almost like a bad cartoon episode of real life Where’s Waldo? – Where is Ville Leino – the on ice version of Harry Houdini.  No I take that back – Mr. Houdini was entertaining to watch.  [Buffalo News].
