Morning, NHL fans!

I hope your Friday is off to a flying start.  The weekend is here, and things are looking up.  Even with the bitter cold, this is truly my favorite time of the year.  My eight year-old boy will play two games and have two practices between Saturday and Sunday, with a skate-n-shoot thrown in for good measure.  We’ll enjoy the Buffalo Sabres -Columbus Blue Jackets game tomorrow night, and who knows?  We might just take the three year-old and maybe even the baby girl out on the ice for some Sunday fun.

Yep – hockey season is the best of the two seasons we enjoy every year, the other season being “non-hockey season.”

Speaking of hockey, let’s hit the links, shall we?

Ten games went down last night, and there were a lot of questions heading into them.  Could the Blue Jackets keep winning?  What kind of game can we look forward to when Anaheim and LA play outside at Dodger stadium this weekend?   Get your scores, recaps, and answers here!  [NHL.com]

If you know me, and by now most of you do, then you know how much I enjoy the “C’Mon Ref!” series over at TSN, so here is this week’s installment!  [TSN]

The NHL Stadium Series is set to kick off this weekend with the afore-mentioned Ducks-Kings game at Dodgers Stadium.  Here’s everything you need to know about the games that will make up this series.  [Bleacher Report]

Speaking of the Stadium Series: in an effort to promote said series, Wayne Gretzky made an appearance on the Conan O’Brien show last night.  Watch the video here.  [The Hockey News]

If you are not a Dallas Stars fan, you might want to change your mind: check out some of the fun they had last night during the Stars-Leafs game!  [Sporting News]

And your Buffalo Sabres link of the day: Pierre LeBrun over at ESPN asks the question, “Will the Sabres’ rebuild include Ryan Miller?”  Questions, questions!
