The Buffalo Sabres have 4 players representing them at the 2014 Sochi Olympics over in Russia. They have representatives on team USA, Sweden and Latvia all hoping to put on a show and bring home the gold with their countries.

The favourite if you live in Canada is of course team Canada who won gold in the 2010 Vancouver Olympics and will be

looking to repeat their gold medal win. However, the Buffalo Sabres have no players playing for Canada, so if you’re a Sabres fan you’re probably not cheering too hard for Canada.

Ryan Miller will lace up for team USA as he hopes to win back his crease and lead an under dog American team back to the gold medal. Whether it’s Miller or Jonathan Quick between the pipes both will need to bring their A games if the US is to have any chance at medaling.

Jhonas Enroth and Henrik Tallinder will lace up for Sweden as they join a stacked Swedish team poised to make a medal run in Sochi 2014.

Lastly, Zemgus Girgensons will join interim head coach Ted Nolan along with the Latvian team which will be looking to survive in their pool and surprise people with their work ethic.

Obviously every team competing will be vying for the gold medal, however not every country has a Buffalo Sabres representative. Which country, which has a Sabres player, has the best shot at winning gold in your opinion? We’re not asking you to predict anything as only time will tell, just tell us which country with a Sabres player has the best shot at medaling in Sochi.
