Morning, NHL fans!

Well, it’s all over: the drama that is Olympic ice hockey has finally ended, with Canada sweeping the gold medals on the men and women side of things, while the American ladies choked their way to a silver and the men . . . well, let’s not talk about THOSE guys.

Now that the Olympics are drawing to a close, we can prepare ourselves for the return of NHL hockey!  Yes – more Buffalo Sabres losses coming our way!

Can’t wait.  Hey – let’s see if there’s any news to cover today.

Let’s start with the obvious: Canada wins Men’s Ice Hockey Gold!  [Bleacher Report]  Whoop-dee-freaking-doo.

For us Yanks, the question we’re all wondering is, what went wrong with Team USA? [b/r]  Well, they were not as good as advertised, for starters.

Or, maybe it’s the fault of Dan Blysma, the head coach.  [Puck Daddy]

As much as it sucked watching the American men get shoutout in the Bronze medal game, it certainly was fun watching Teemu Selanne finish (get it?) his Olympic career on a high note.  [The Hockey News]

And your Buffalo Sabres link of the day today focuses on Cody McCormick, who is ready to play some hockey again.  [Sabres.com]  Amen, brother!

Enjoy!
