Sabres – Hurricanes: Fan Picks!

What’s up, Sabre Noise readers!

Gotta tell you all, I have missed doing our Sabres fan picks.  I was tempted to do something for the Olympics, but decided against whoring myself out for that gig and decided just to take the two weeks off to refresh my brain.  Gotta be in peak condition if I want to catch wolfdoctor!

Sadly, my main computer took a nose dive during the Olympics, so I don’t have updated standings for you all today.  Never fear – the data was not lost, and I am back up and running at home, so I will most likely have standings to share tomorrow.  Patience, please!

So – what do we have to look forward to tonight?

Questions to consider:

1. I’m going to set the over/under at 6.5 tonight.  Why?  Who the hell knows why?  But there it is – will the two teams combine to score 6 or under, or 7 or more?  (5 pts.)

2. Pick five players, made up from both teams.  As usual, I will dish out the following points:  10 for the player who scores the first goal of the game; 5 points for any player who scores beyond the game’s first; 2 points per extra goal for any player who scores more than once; and a whopping 20 points for a player who scores a hattie!

3.  Which team levels the most hits tonight (5 pts.) and what will the combined total of hits be (7 pts. for being the closest)

4. Who wins, and what is the final combined score?  5 pts. for picking tonight’s winner, and 7 pts. to whomever is closest to the combined score.

And hey – anyone NOT named wolfdoctor will get an extra 25 points if they win tonight, so let’s do this!

I dunno Rich that last part is kind of cheap no? Wolfie should have a shot at the 25 to. Just to get others caught up IMO shouldn’t be happening. All points should be up for everyone.

You’re probably right. Yet, here we are! :) I try to keep the scores tight, plus there are some people who are literally so far behind they might not get involved any more. If this doesn’t entice any new people to play, I’ll consider the bonus points being allotted to anyone.

It’s ok with me. This is just a fun thing for me, anyway.

        • JHizzle75

I agree with Jes, the bonus points should be up for everyone. You have to stop this even-up crap Rich! Lol. No one is spotting the Sabres any points because we’re so far behind, are they?

          • http://SabreNoise.com/ Richard Spalding
