Sabres Swimming With The Sharks: Fan Picks!

Afternoon, Sabres fans!

First things first: I have to ask you to do me a favor.  I went all cuckoo-for-Cocoa-Puffs on Wednesday and made my picks a wild card edition, in which you made your own predictions.  That was fun and all . . . but some of you made a lot of predictions, and it will be days before I get through them all if I have to tally the points.  There’s a big hockey tournament my son’s association is hosting this weekend, and . . . wah wah wah.  You get the point.

You’re all on the honor system: tally up your points and I will give you the benefit of the doubt when I add them into our season standings!

Tonight, we go back to the tried and true format of me giving you questions to consider!  Whee!

Let’s see what I have whipped up for you all tonight – double points it is!!!!

Questions to consider

1. I sense a high-scoring affair going down tonight in the First Niagara Center.  For that reason, I am setting the over/under at 6.5  Will these two teams combine to score 6 or fewer goals, or seven plus?  10 points.

2. Pick five players, from either team.  20 points for picking the game’s first scorer.  10 points if anyone scores after the second goal.  4 points if a player scores a second goal.  40 points if anyone you pick goes off for a hattie!

3. So many people are saying this could be Ryan Miller‘s last game as a member of the Sabres.  I don’t know about that . . . but I’ll act like it is.  Within five, how many saves does he make in his swan song?  10 points.

4. Who wins tonight, and what will the combined score be?  10 points for the winner, 14 for being closest to the total score.

All right – let’s get those picks in before puck drop!!!!
