The now Miller, Ott AND LaFontaine-less Buffalo Sabres travel to take on a familiar foe when the Dallas Stars open the door to their barn tonight, as the Blue and Gold try to extend their winning streak to four games in a row.
With the Sabres attracting a lot of media attention in the past few days, it’s a wonder what we will see when the team takes to the ice later tonight. Some questions that I am asking are; What is the morale of this team right now? What has the separation of the leaders in Ott and Miller, along with LaFontaine’s departure, done to this team?
The woes seem to just continue and continue, as head coach Ted Nolan and the contract talks have seem to pick up, then fallen off and then resurface again. Causing tons of Buffalonians to question, just what is going on?
Nevertheless, Buffalo does have the game at hand, facing off against Lindy Ruff for the second and final time this season, hoping for a better outcome than the 4-3 loss back in November, where Matt Moulson had two goals in his debut for Buffalo in the defeat.

Moulson is another name highlighting the rumor mills, as earlier today news broke that Moulson was not on the ice for the morning skate, igniting a wildfire much like Friday night, when Miller and Ott were scratched late in the deal to St. Louis. Not to worry though, as it was confirmed that this mornings skate was an optional one, one that Moulson decided to sit out for a maintenance day. He will be in the lineup for tonight’s game, on a line with Tyler Ennis and Drew Stafford.
What are your thoughts on the team right now? Are they good or bad and where do you think they will go from here?
