Buffalo Sabres - Tampa Bay Lightning: Fan Picks!

Now this should be interesting.

In one corner, we have the Buffalo Sabres, a team that has lost its starting goaltender, its team captain, and one of its only true threats on offense, all in the span of less than a week.  I would imagine that sort of roster turnover puts a damper on your enthusiasm.

In the other corner, we have the Tampa Bay Lightning, who have lost one face of the franchise (Martin St. Louis) while receiving good news about the other face of the franchise (Seven Stamkos, scheduled to return to NHL action tonight).  Where will their heads be tonight?  Your guess is as good as mine!

So yeah – this game ought to be a fun one, like having a funeral, but on ice!

Let’s get to the picks.

Questions to consider:

WILL THE SABRES SCORE TONIGHT?  AT ALL?

Okay, now for the real picks.

1. I am going to set the over/under at 4.5 tonight.  Will the two teams combine to score more, or less, than this?  5 points for this baby.

2. Pick any four skaters, from either team.  10 points for a player who notches the first goal, 5 points for any player who scores after the first goal, 2 points if the player scores a second goal, 20 points for a hattie!   It’s gotta happen sometime!

3. Jhonas Enroth gets the start tonight – within 5, how many saves will he make?

4. Who wins, and what is the final combined score?  5 points for winner, 7 points for combined score.

Join the fun – make your picks!
