Whoo-ee, NHL fans!

If you live in the Northeastern United States of America, you have to be sick of winter by now.  I’m not usually one to complain about winter, and neither is my son, who loves hockey and often tells me he’d rather be cold in the winter than hot in the summer, because if you’re cold all you need to do is put more clothes on.  Still, the two of us were driving home after his final hockey practice of the season tonight, and we both agreed: we’re over this crap we’ve called a winter.  Get on with the spring!

And let’s get on with the daily links, now that I have gotten that off of my chest!

It was a slow night in the NHL last night, with only four games on the schedule.  At least it won’t take long for you to get all of your scores, recaps and video highlights read and watched!  [NHL.com]

You know me – I love to hear former NHL official Kerry Fraser explain things from the zebra’s perspective!  In this edition of “C’Mon, Ref!” Fraser makes sense of some questionable goaltender interference calls.  [TSN]

There’s talk that some NHL GMs want to change the overtime/shootout format.  Here’s why that would be a bad idea.  [Sports Illustrated]

It’s been a while since I have really looked at these: the Power Rankings.  [Sports Illustrated]  There has been enough movement in the NHL that checking these out is worth your time.

We’re in the home stretch of the playoff run.  Some teams will stumble, while others will get hot.  Here’s a look at which teams are most likely to go en fuego on us as the season ends.  [Bleacher Report]

And your Buffalo Sabres link of the day focuses on the resurgence of Drew Stafford.  [Die By The Blade]

Enjoy!
