Buffalo Sabres Daily Dasherboard March 23, 2014

Can anyone tell me where the month of March has gone?  It seems like just yesterday we were welcoming back the Buffalo Sabres from the Olympic break, and we are already looking at the last week in March.  I mean, we are still looking at temperatures around freezing and its almost April?  I think mother nature is just as confused about the date as I am.

Anyway, here are your Sunday morning links for your reading pleasure as we get ready to take on the Vancouver Canucks.

Michal Neuvirth has been practicing, but head coach Ted Nolan says he isn’t quite there yet.  [WGR550].

With Neuvirth still sidelined, Jhonas Enroth not on the trip, Nathan Lieuwen gets the nod in net again, this time – it is a “home” start for the Abbottsford, BC native.  [Buffalo News].

The Buffalo Sabres will be facing a Vancouver team that still has something to play for, and they will be doing it with Daniel Sedin back in the lineup.  [The Canuck Way].

Sedin may be back in, Ryan Kesler is questionable, and Alex Burrows remains out against the Buffalo Sabres.  [Vancouver Sun].

Can you say the Buffalo Sabres “won” the trade from two seasons ago where the Sabres sent Zack Kassian to the Vancouver Canucks in return for Cody Hodgson.  Kassian says they are two different players that can’t really be compared.  [Vancouver Sun].

The Vancouver Canucks still have a 2.0% chance of making the playoffs this year.  I know I want the Sabres to take last place by a landslide, but here are two points I wouldn’t mind picking up.  [ProHockeyTalk].

So the University of Dayton busted the bracket in the first round by upsetting Ohio State, and crushed Syracuse fans by defeating the Orangemen by two points Saturday in Buffalo.  Today Stanford (10) and Kansas (2)  should the winner be worried? [CNN].
