NHL Draft 2014: How to Watch Rounds 2 through 7

This morning as we wake up, there are now 30 new members of NHL teams around the league. Today, an additional 180 players will be selected in day two of the 2014 NHL Draft.

If you’re looking to catch today’s action of the NHL Draft, look no further than NHL Network in the United States beginning at 10 a.m. EST. Rounds two through seven of the NHL Draft will also be carried on TSN in Canada.

NBCSports Live Extra carried round one in an online stream last night, but it doesn’t look like they’ll be carrying today’s rounds two through seven, so hopefully you’ve all got NHL Network out there or are able to find another online stream of the draft.

In addition, a replay of last night’s round one NHL Draft action will be shown on NHL Network (USA) following the conclusion of rounds two through seven at 1 p.m. After the first round replay, this morning’s broadcast will be replayed this evening around 4:30 p.m., so if you’ve missed any of the action, there’s your chance to catch it again.

Although the top 30 picks have now been selected by various NHL teams, there’s still plenty to see in today’s second go-around of the 2014 NHL Draft.

There are several high-ranked players that fell out of the first round last night and should go early on in today’s second round, including Moncton Wildcats forward Ivan Barbashev (ranked 18th) and Kitchener Rangers center Ryan MacInnis (ranked 20th) as well as Barrie Colts left winger Brendan Lemieux. All three will likely go high in the second round after failing to be selected last night.

Of course, there’s always the trades to watch out for, too. Last night’s round one saw a total of three trades made, including two involving solely draft picks. The biggest trade was the one that sent James Neal to the Nashville Predators in exchange for Patric Hornqvist and Nick Spaling.

So, hockey fans — get ready, get comfy, and get set to watch rounds two through seven of today’s NHL Draft. Who else will Sabres GM Tim Murray pick up? Will there be any juicy trades going down? What players will rise and fall from their projected rankings? And when all’s said and done…. who will be the newest members of the Buffalo Sabres organization?
