It is right around the corner Buffalo Sabres fans – the 2014-2015 NHL regular season. Before we can get to the real stuff though – you can watch the Buffalo Sabres develop the future generation of players that could one day lead the charge wearing Blue and Gold.
Next week you can watch some of the future stars with the annual summer development camp to take place at First Niagara Center.
Camp is scheduled for next week, July 14-18 – and marks the third summer in a row that the ice will be installed during the summer for the start of the seasons festivities.
Camp attendees will participate in on and off-ice sessions throughout the week. Fans able to get down to the First Niagara Center will have a chance to see any of the on-ice sessions they can get down for.
The only day that no activities are scheduled is Wednesday July 16th, an off day for the players and staff.
On Monday players will have an on-ice coaches practice from 10:30-12:15.
Tuesday there will be a pre-scrimmage skate from 10:15 until 12:45. Tuesday night there will be an intra-squad scrimmage starting at 7PM. The scrimmage will include three twenty minute periods with stopped time.
On Thursday there are two on-ice instruction sessions that fans can watch, from 10:30 to noon, and then again from 1:30 to 3:00 PM.
The week long sessions will conclude on Firday with a two hour long three-on-three tournament from 10:30 to 12:30.
If you make it down to any of the sessions and take pictures, make sure you tweet them at our Twitter account @SabreNoise and let us know what you think of the prospects. You may even bump into one of our writers, so keep your eyes open.
All times are subject to change and updates to the schedule will be posted at Sabres.com.
