Only 37 home games will be played in Rochester, with one home game being hosted at First Niagara Center, home of the affiliate Buffalo Sabres. The Amerks will play in Buffalo on October 29th at 7:05. The opponent for the Amerks that night s the Hamilton Bull Dogs.
The full schedule can be viewed here.
The Rochester Americans busiest months will be November and February, playing 13 games in those months. The Amerks will have an eight game homestand that occurs through the end of December and through the new year, and an eight game road trip at the end of January and into February.
If your interested in heading up to Rochester to catch some action, 30 of the 38 home games occur on the weekend, occuring on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday. The schedule includes seven Wednesday games and one game on a Monday.
The Rochester Americans are hoping the 2014-2015 regular season pans out with another playoff bid. Last year’s squad of Buffalo Sabres prospects made the playoffs, and despite winning more games than in previous playoff attempts, still failed to make it out of the first round. 2013 and 2013 seasons ended with first round sweeps at the hand of the Toronto Marlies. Last season the Amerks took the Chicago Wolves to all five games, before losing 3-2.
The Rochester Americans have not been out of the first round of the playoffs since the 2004-2005 season.
The Amerks will open the 2014-2015 campaign with two preseason games against the Toronto Marlies, on at the Trisan Centre in Schomberg, Ontario (October 3 -7PM) and one at the Bill Grays Iceplex in Brighton, NY (October 2 – 7:05PM).
The Amerks have not announced a television schedule yet.
