Tyler Ennis Is The Man To Watch Versus Rangers

After a hot showing a couple of nights ago against the Toronto Maple Leafs, the Buffalo Sabres are at it again tonight versus the New York Rangers. The Rangers are boasting a hot streak despite lacking “King” Henrik Lundqvist in goal, and the Sabres are looking to end their current losing streak of 5 games.

Tyler Ennis is the key man to start the charge towards the winner circle. This season he has been a bright spot of hope for the future of this team, and he has proven it with his overall play, heart, and statistics. If the Sabres want to give the Rangers a run for their money tonight, Tyler Ennis will be the man to get them there.

How To Watch

Last game against the Maple Leafs, Tyler Ennis and his line were on fire as they lit the lamp for all three of the Buffalo Sabres goals. Ennis had a goal and two assists; Matt Moulson and Johan Larsson also had a goal and two assists in that game. The top line looked like a well oiled machine for almost the entirety of the game and it was inspiring to see.

Tyler Ennis has been the backbone of the Sabres offense throughout the entire year. Thus far he has posted 17 goals and 20 assists for a total of 37 points in 64 games. He currently leads Buffalo players in goals and points, while he is second in assists (Matt Moulson leads the team with 23 assists).

Ennis is the perfect threat the Buffalo needs against a larger Rangers offensive line (minus of course Martin St. Louis). He possesses speed, soft hands, and a knack for finding the back of the net. Despite only having 17 goals to this point of the season, he has always been the top offensive threat on the Sabres Roster.

In the absence of Zemgus Girgensons, he seems to have stepped into the role of “coach’s favorite” as he finds himself with the most key playing time. Tyler Ennis is the man to watch tonight as he will continue to run the wing on the top line for Buffalo while making Larsson and Moulson look very good alongside him.

Prediction

If Tyler Ennis is as much of a presence that he needs to be tonight, then the Sabres will have no issue getting through to the Rangers. Cam Talbot has been solid in net for New York, but his youth can still be picked on by the experienced scorers on the Sabres. I predict that the Buffalo Sabres will snap their losing streak tonight against the Rangers. There were so many positive things that came out of the last game that momentum is on their side.

I’ll even predict a score of 4-2 in this Buffalo win and it will come with a Tyler Ennis goal somewhere in that mix. He has been on fire as of late, and now is the time to capitalize on that confidence and snap the losing streak.
