Starting off this morning’s daily links is some news from within the Sabres organization.

The AHL’s Rochester Americans announced Tuesday evening that the team has signed free agent Matt Garbowsky for the 2015-2016 season.

Garbowsky recently finished his season at RIT, where he and the Tigers went to the NCAA Tournament. He captained RIT and recorded a school-record 54 points in 40 games this season. Garbowsky is a Hobey Baker finalist and was named Atlantic Hockey Player of the Year.

He’ll join the Amerks for the remainder of this season on an amateur tryout basis.

Any time we talk about pucks ending up in weird places, it’s just another reason to dig out the “butt goal” video again — so here you go.

Finally this morning, a Yahoo! Sports article highlighting the difficulty that some of the NHL’s top scorers are having this season in racking up the points, and your weekly power rankings from Bleacher Report.

Just four games on tap for the NHL this evening. The Sabres host the Leafs, while the Wednesday ngiht rivalry continues with Pittsburgh vs. Philadelphia. Elsewhere, Edmonton and Anaheim face off, while Colorado and San Jose also meet.
