The Rochester Americans used the sandwich method to continue their dominance of the Hamilton Bulldogs. With their 6-3 win this afternoon, the Rochester Americans improve to 6-1-0 on the season against the Bulldogs.

A fast shot out of the gate, and the Bulldogs knew they were in trouble early on. Just a minute into the games, goals by captain Kevin Porter and Kevin Sundher had the Amerks up 2-0.

Frederick Roy continued the offensive onslought and had the Rochester Americans up 3-0 before six minutes had evolved.

The Bulldogs wouldn’t roll over and get on the board in the first period with a goal by Louis Leblanc and Zack Stortini, giving the Montreal Canadiens top affiliate some life.

When the second period started, the Hamilton Bulldogs kept the offensive switch on and got a goal from Joey Tenute to negate the fast start by the Rochester Americans.

Rick Schofield put the game winner, and Evan Rankin and Brian Flynn added insurance goals to allow the Rochester Americans to continue rolling on towards the top of the Western Conference standings.

With a six goal night, Rochester jumps back up into the top tier of teams that have scored the most goals in the American Hockey League. The Amerks now have 134 goals scored as a team, tied for first with the Syracuse Crunch.
