Cody Hodgson

The Sabres and Hodgson have been unable to agree on a new contract, but it’s unlikely the Sabres will let their number-one centre go. So for the sake of this article we’ll say Cody Hodgson will be on the Sabres roster come October.

On most other teams Hodgson may not be more than a second or third line centre, but he’s currently the only Sabres centre remotely capable of playing on the first line. Entering his third season with the blue and gold it’s time to see what Hodgson is capable of. There’s a lot of potential surrounding him but he has yet to show much of that potential.

Prediction- Hodgson scored 15 goals and put up 34 points during the lockout shortened season. He will anchor the first line next season and will have a chance to show what he can do. Darcy Regier acquired Cody Hodgson with the hope of him being the Sabres future first line centre, so he will be given every chance to be that franchise centre.
