Montreal Canadiens

You can’t go wrong with the Canadiens look. And while the Habs may have been the NHL’s worst team in 2021-22, they still looked good thanks to those memorable threads. I have qualms with all of the uniforms listed above – even a couple of things the Sabres can improve, such as adding red to the buffalo’s (or bison’s) eye. Just a hint of red, nothing more.

Anyway, the Canadiens have zero flaws in their home uniform. They boast the correct shade of red and blue, while the horizontal striping across the jersey gives the logo some flair. If I have one gripe, it’s that their home and road uniforms don’t match.

The Canadiens need to add the horizontal striping to the road look. If they do that, then they will cement themselves as perhaps the undisputed champion in the NHL uniform ranking with no debate whatsoever.

There is no uniform as iconic, or as aesthetically-pleasing in hockey, and perhaps, all of sports. If you ranked the uniforms of all 124 of North America’s major professional sports teams, the Canadiens might just take the top spot.
