Mark Jankowski, Nashville Predators

A former first round pick, Jankowski played admirably for the Buffalo Sabres when called upon. He only scored five times in 19 games, but his adequate 48 percent FOW was at least somewhat respectable.

He signed with the Nashville Predators for a one-year, two-way, $750k deal. Jankowski like many players on this list, is a lower-level player who can fulfill a role on the lower lines in the NHL or become a force in the AHL.

With the Sabres organization, he did both, having scored 37 points (10 + 27) in 32 games in Rochester. He also tacked on another seven points (6 + 1) during his 10 games in the Calder Cup Playoffs.

Overall, Jankowski has never lived to the expectations of a first round pick. He has, however, been a reliable fixture on the lower end of an NHL roster. Expect that trend to continue in 2022-23.
