December 19, 2013: Bruins vs. Sabres

To be honest, December didn’t wow me with a bunch of must-see games.  The Bruins-Sabres game wins by default because of the rivalry these teams have developed, and because it’s another game within the division.  The rest of the home games for the holiday season, however, could very well be the hockey equivalent of coal in your stocking, as the playoffs-challenged Flames, Jets, and Coyotes all visit Buffalo during the month, along with the New York Rangers and the Washington Capitals, both of whom looked pretty terrible in the playoffs last year and will be lucky to qualify in 2013-2014 (in my opinion).  Blech – get me to 2014, stat!

I’m honestly looking forward to all games. But here are my 3 games that I’ll be looking forward to the most (Ranked in order of must see)

Oct 28th VS Dallas – Lindy Ruff’s return and to see Nichuskin prove to everyone including Darcy that it was wrong of them to pass up on him.

Oct 14th VS Minnesota – Pominville’s return. Hell might even see an early season trade in which we send Vanek to Minny, Heatley probably have to come back.

Oct 17th VS Vancouver – I live in BC so I absolutely hate the ‘Nucks so both games this year will be a must watch for me.

Pominville’s return was a possibility for me, too!
