October 25 through November 8 will be quite a test for the 2013-2014 Sabres, as the team will play 8 games in that span, only two of which will be at home.  As if that was not bad enough, the final three games in that stretch will make up a West Coast road trip in which the Sabres play the San Jose Sharks, the Los Angeles Kings, and the Anaheim Ducks, all in a span of four nights.  Yep: three West Coast road games in four nights, all against teams who qualified for the playoffs last season.   I can envision any one of these games being train wrecks, but the final one against the Ducks is the one I predict will be the most painful, since it is the last one in this stretch of games, and comes just one night after the Sabres square off against the punishing play of the Kings.  LA will soften the Sabres up, and be prepared for the equally physical Ducks to land a knock-out blow on a road-weary Buffalo squad.
