Brandon Biro, LW

The definition of a professional hockey success story, Biro is one of those players who, even if he never becomes a full-time NHL player, playing high-end in the AHL defines a sound career. He was undrafted out of Penn State and Biro has since suited up for one game with the Buffalo Sabres.

In Rochester, he may very well end up on the first line or at least on the second given his performance in 2021-22, putting up 41 points in 49 games. Had he not suffered an injury and missed extended playing time, that number would have floated around 50 points. Of his 41 points, 12 went for goals and 29, assists. He also logged a four in the +/- category.

Overall, given the draft statuses of Aleksandr Kisakov, Isak Rosen, and Filip Cederqvist, Biro may fall in these rankings and receive lower priority unless he sees another jump in play. But he already showed his immense potential last season so if he continues to develop in at least a linear fashion, he may hold off the incoming rookies.
