The Buffalo Sabres will once again host the CCM/USAH All-American Prospects Game at First Niagara Center.
Rosters for the squads were recently announced, for the game coming to FNC in just a few short weeks.
This year’s game – the third such hosted by the Buffalo Sabres historically – will be held on Thursday, September 24th at 7 p.m.
Tickets for the event go on sale September 1st, but until them, here’s a look at the rosters:

Players appearing in the game will play in a variety of leagues this coming season, including 11 players from the Ontario Hockey League and 12 players from the United States Hockey League. There’s also one lone Western Hockey League player, Tri-City Americans netminder Evan Sarthou.
Unlike last season, there are no QMJHL players on this year’s roster – but last season’s roster also featured just one OHLer, when this year’s has many more.
In addition, 15 players from the U.S. National Under-18 team will appear in the game, including Williamsville native defenseman Griffin Luce.
Another Buffalo native, Niagara IceDogs netminder Stephen Dhillion, will also play in the All-American Prospects game next month.
Of the 42 players selected, 26 have already committed to colleges throughout the country, including Boston College, Boston University, Harvard, Michigan State, Northeastern and the University of Wisconsin.
The oldest player on the roster: goaltender Tyler Parsons of the OHL’s London Knights, born September 18, 1997.
Last season was Parsons’ first in the OHL. The Chesterfield, Michigan native had a 3.53 GAA and a record of 15-10-0-2. He had a .905 save percentage and registered 920 saves in 1,647 minutes played. He also appeared in eight playoff games with the Knights, racking up a 3.30 GAA and .917 save percentage.
And the youngest on the roster is Dhillon, born September 14, 1998. Dhillon appeared in four games with the IceDogs last season.
Other players to watch on the roster include Erie Otters forward Alex DeBrincat, a Farmington Hills, Michigan native who spent much of last season playing alongside Connor McDavid. DeBrincat registered 104 points, including 51 goals and 53 assists, in just 68 regular season games. To no one’s surprise, he was named OHL Rookie of the Year. His true test will come this season, to see what he’s capable of without McDavid.
Other notable names selected for the All-American Prospects game roster: Matthew Tkachuk, forward for the OHL’s London Knights, and Kiefer Bellow, forward for Boston University.
One name not on the list, of course, is top-ranked American prospect Auston Matthews. The center was not invited to the game and is playing this season with ZSC in Switzerland. Their season begins in early September.
The big name from last year’s game? Buffalo Sabres forward Jack Eichel, of course.
